    • How does the app calculate my daily calorie needs?

      We use established formulas like the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to estimate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), then adjust it based on your activity level to calculate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). You can also customize goals for weight loss, maintenance, or muscle gain.

    • Can I sync my data with Apple Health or Google Fit?

      Yes! Our app integrates seamlessly with Apple Health (iOS) to sync steps, workouts, and active energy. You can control what data is shared at any time in your device settings.

    • How accurate are the calorie estimates for workouts?

      Calorie burn is estimated based on the type of exercise, duration, intensity, and your personal metrics (age, weight, etc.). While no method is perfect, we aim to provide the most realistic estimates possible—and you can always log custom workouts.

    • Is my data secure?

      Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption and never share your personal data without your permission. You can also use Apple's Private Relay feature for anonymized email login.

    • Can there be foods missing from the database?

      We don't have a specific database (FDDB, CRDB, etc.) but use AI to estimate calories and health properties. That has a certain level of error, but it works way more reliably and is easier for users.

    • Can I use the app without a subscription?

      Yes! The whole app is free at this point. The app was built for me and I decided to share it with the world as it works better for me than most apps out there.
